But what does a transfer contract look like? The vast majority of transportation agreements contain confidentiality clauses, which is one of the reasons why media coverage of transfer fees can vary considerably. Journalists can only report what they are told and they can have different numbers given depending on the side of the table where their source is located. For example, a purchasing source could tell reporters the basic fee for the minutes without mentioning additional clauses or additional payments. (c) the player will be issued a work permit allowing him to be legally employed as a professional football player in the United Kingdom;6 and, when buying a player, Premier League clubs will have to pay an additional „transfer fee“ of 4% to the League.
