These conditions for adding your Chase card to a third-party wallet (the „Conditions“) apply if you want to add a Chase credit card, prepaid card or debit card („Chase Card“) to a digital wallet or other third-party-managed payment service or in the possession of a third party („Wallet“). Under these conditions, „you“ and „you“ refer to the Chase Card cardholder, and „we,“ „we,“ „our“ and „Chase“ refer to the issuer of your Chase Card, JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Chase is not Wallet`s supplier, and we are not responsible for providing the Wallet service to you. We are only responsible for providing secure information to the portfolio provider to enable the use of the Chase Card in the Wallet. We are not responsible for the defective portfolio, errors, delays or inability to use the portfolio for a transaction. We are not responsible for the delivery or non-compliance of the portfolio provider or other third parties with respect to the agreements you enter into with the portfolio provider or the associated relationships of third parties that may affect your use of the wallet. The terms and agreements that govern your Chase Card do not change if you add your Chase Card to the wallet. The applicable CardMember account agreement or agreement, which governs the Current Chase card, is included in these conditions by reference. Please check these agreements, if any, for any important information about your rights and obligations when trading through a portfolio. The wallet simply gives you another option to make purchases or other transactions with the Chase Card. For our purposes, we specifically consider Visa and MasterCard relationships. You only know that some companies, such as American Express, Discover Card and Diners Club, can simultaneously act as card issuers and distributor buyers.
And cards issued by companies like Macy`s or Sears also have a slightly simpler system behind the transaction, as these „Private Label“ cards are generally accepted by a single distributor. MasterCard SVP – Group Head for Digital Channel Engagement Sherri Haymond explained to Ars the role of the company. „MasterCard is in the middle: we have a franchise that financial institutions are asking for,“ she said. From MasterCard`s perspective, „buyers bring merchants into the system, and issuers bring consumers into the system. MasterCard`s role is to set rules and standards, and we facilitate the movement of money, from issuer to purchaser in most cases. You can add a legitimate chase card to a wallet by following our instructions on how it appears on a proprietary chase platform (z.B. Chase Mobile® app or chase.com), or by following the wallet provider`s instructions. Only chase cards that we consider justified can be added to the portfolio.
If your Chase Card or underlying account is not in good condition, this Chase Card is not allowed to be added or registered. We can set other eligibility criteria at our sole discretion.
